■QCG-200 is a master clock which is capable of receiving the precise time information from GPS (Global Positioning System) operated by the U.S. and can retain a high-accuracy in the internal clock at all times.

■Exclusive GPS antenna with receiver unit (GPS-200) is available separately to make a time correction for the internal clock in the QCG-200 periodically.

■QCG-200 is capable of making analog secondary clocks activate directly and synchronizing them with a precise time.

■QCG-200 is capable of generating time data (in accordance with RS-422) for digital secondary clocks and other computer systems.

Detak Jam: Satu Langkah Kecil untuk Satu Langkah Besar

Ada sebuah jam yang baru selesai dibuat oleh tukang jam, oleh si pembuat, jam tersebut diletakan di gudang penyimpanan. Jam tersebut melihat ada banyak sekali teman temannya yang juga berada di dalam gudang. Jam tersebut dengan penuh kebingungan bertanya kepada salah satu jam di sampingnya.

"Sebagai jam apa yang harus aku lakukan ?"

Jam yang ada disampingnya berkata dengan sombong "Kau harus banyak belajar dariku, dalam satu tahun kau harus bisa menggerakkan bandulmu ke kiri dan kekanan sebanyak 31.536.000 kali"

"Apa?! 31 juta kali?  Apakah aku akan sanggup?" keluh si jam yang baru tersebut.

Melihat jam baru tersebut gugup dan kelihatan putus asa, jam lainnya berkata, "Hei anak muda, janganlah kau berpikir berapa banyak dalam setahun kau dapat menggerakkan bandulmu, coba saja gerakan bandulmu satu kali tiap satu detik, hanya itu."

Mendengar saran temannya tersebut ia sedikit tenang, dalam hati ia berkata, "Kalau cuma menggerakkan satu kali tiap satu detik aku pasti bisa."

Akhirnya setahun lewat dan si jam tersebut tanpa ia sadari sudah mampu menggerakkan bandulnya sebanyak 31.536.000 kali. Sumber

Cara Memilih Mesin Jam Tower / Menara Jam

Jika anda tidak ingin membuat jam tower yang hanya tahan beberapa tahun saja dan jam tower anda tidak sering mati atau tidak tepat waktu maka ada baiknya anda tahu spesifikasi teknis seperti apa yang yang dibutuhkan untuk pembuatan jam tower yang dapat diandalkan.


Untuk membuat Jam Tower atau jam Menara  dengan diameter ukuran  1-6 Meter (bahkan jam raksasa diameter 30 meter) yang dapat diandalkan dan mempunyai presisi tinggi harus memenuhi persyaratan tekhnis diantaranya adalah sebagai berikut :

1. Bahan Material  mesin jam  harus tahan terhadap perubahan cuaca  dengan Casing terbuat dari baja, dengan poros jam terbuat dari bahan anti karat (stainless steel) dan tahan terhadap debu dan dapat beropersi dengan baik pada suhu  -30 sampai +80°C and Humidity 0 - 95% serta tahan terhadap terpaan angin dengan kecepatan tinggi.

2. Suitable for Open Air Dial, artinya cocok untuk kondisi Jam Outdoor ditempatkan di luar ruangan tanpa penutup kaca depan.

3. Self correction time upon power failure, yaitu mesin jam akan otomatis akur kembali setelah power listrik mati / padam

4. Master Clock dapat terhubung ke satelit GPS untuk menjamin keakuratan jam yang mengacu pada waktu internasional yaitu waktu Greenwich (Indonesia +7) dengan menggunakan antena GPS yang mempunyai Indeks Protection / IP 67 (tahan celupan air) dan dan dapat beropersi dengan baik pada suhu  -25 sampai  +60°C

5. Mesin jam diproduksi oleh perusahaan / pabrik yang mempunyai Standar Management untuk menjamin mutu dan  ketahanan produk  yang dihasilkan

6. Jika menggunakan Master Clock untuk menggerakkan Tower Clock, Master Clock tersebut harus mempunyai MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure )  diatas 50.000 jam dan dapat beroperasi dengan baik pada suhu  0 sampai  50°C dan minimal mempunyai Standard Keamanan Tinggi, diproduksi oleh perusahaan / pabrik yang mempunyai jaminan mutu.
